maybe tomorrow

Today I talked with my old friend back in Sunway. Once we were very close but when we both finished Pre-U we went different Uni then lost in contact.
But then she dropped me an e-mail couple weeks ago and yeah we got back all funny yappie memories. I’ve no idea why I feel all old memories are kinda happy well consider happy even though it wasn’t really “happy”. LOL
Anyways I talked to her over the phone, and she told me that she is having tough time in country now. I been to her country twice, my first visit was form 3? or form 4? I was pretty shocked, no actually demn shocked. NO McD, NO KFC. Well, there’s no U.S products or no nothing related to U.S. yeah the country is Myanmar.
It’s Myanmar, famous for the lady leader Aung San Suu Kyi and Myanmar Junta. Well, when I was small my Ah gong told me, Myanmar junta is always looking for some excuse to extend Suu Kyi’s prison term. And when I was in Yangon, my parents’ friend told me don’t ever say it out Aung San Suu Kyi’s name in public. I was small girl but I felt people are ‘covering up’ the truth from something.
Today I recall back Geography class back in highschool. My Geography teacher Mr.M said “There’s worldwide protest and leaders calling for her release but Myanmar is not interested in what world thinks.” So I asked “What can be done?” There was no answer in my high school text book. And I still remember Mr. M didn’t answer my question.
I saw Wiki, Aung San Suu Kyi is already 64 year old. Past over 20 years she was jailed and under house arrest due to security laws.
So what really can be done?
Wait and see? Because Ah gong and Ah mah or everybody says shouldn’t change? Yeah some says don’t ever border what happening?
So till one day we waited and gonna see “nuclear” weapons to blow off all the countries first? But today over the phone conversation I realized I shall stop pitying Myanmar and my friend, because she was far stronger than what I thought of her.
“Sometimes the last thing I want comes in first then sometimes the first thing I want never comes. But maybe tomorrow I’ll find my way out. And I know I can do it.” -K K
We shall stop pitying and move to action in right way. There’s a saying: “Everything happens for a reason.” Maybe it does. And because of that we are getting stronger.
