The Chinese New Year is less than a month from now =)

Few years back Jaime told me, the year hasn’t really started until after she celebrated New Year’s celebration.

This is sexy Jaime and I last year temporarily farewell =)

Did my Chinese New Year shopping today with my friend. Most of Chinese are to wear new clothes on the first day of Chinese New Year right? So we went One Utama. I bought tops, a skirt and simple dress.

I’m not Chinese but I still feel an affinity to their customs especially wearing red on New Year’s day or any days for that matter that’s special to me. Red is the symbol of good luck in Chinese =) hahaha

Can you feel the wind??

three more weeks to CNY. Can’t wait =)

Huge mega thanks Hann Yeeh for took me to Dharma =)

We headed to the upper estate area in Triang, he took me to a short ride and this was my first time ride a motorcycle in my entire life =)

Because where he wanted to take me was the highest point in town, there is no transport system from huge estate to wonderful place called Dharma. So if you really want to be on the top, it’s not really easy!! You have to find expert guide so that can help you reach the place.

Yes I’m really lucky =)

I saw the most amazing view I have ever seen in my humble little life!!
We had almost 360’ view of the State of Pahang. But I felt more than Pahang it’s something like the majestic Himalays Malaysia version. The scenery was amazing I really don’t mind spend whole day there!! My gosh. I don’t even think I can begin to describe it, and my pictures don’t do any good either.

I can only say, even the owl there was quiet, chirping very peacefully. I’m putting too much human interpretation into the owl’s simple afternoon life. The view we had was from town up to the Dharma. One side over looks Pahang’s layer after layer’s mountain ridge falling into the deep jungle; another side over looks Triang town.

I had an awesome time wondering to different endless view of Pahang, taking the view in bit by bit. I wish my mind was less busy, though. At first, I was simply in awe and my brain didn’t even wake up in time to think about anything else. Then for a few seconds, I was no longer present.

I was always hoping, thinking, how much more perfect if there is that significant other who was here sharing this experience with me. Haha then I couldn’t really think of one person who would love being here with me as much as I would want them to.

So… my mind turned again… how much I wish more people could see this, too! Especially my grandpa, I know he will love the view.

Actually, none of these thoughts were harmful, but, were they necessary? Nothing was accomplished by the wishing and hoping, as if the experience wasn’t perfect enough already. I had amazing person who were meant to be there to share this experience with me. How much more do I want? What a shame that I was not “really” seeing what is happening around me? The thing is, the situation is special in its own way.

Us human, often think that we can manipulate our experiences to have the best times, all the time. But how do you know what is the best time if you were never there, being present in the experiences given? Once again, like doraemon reminded me once, nothing can make you happy or sad. Only you can. Being there, can.

So what’s amazing about this place is reminds me explore the contradictions of life on the line =)

I will continue explore my world and world.

I am so excited to be making my post, I have so much to tell you!
This entry gonna be mega long…
Have I ever mentioned my love for things Malaysian?

Well, I love Malaysia. I really do =)
And you have probably already noticed that I have a deep interest in unusual things, so this shouldn’t really shock you. Now, I don’t mean to suggest that Malaysia is unusual, but it is different from where I was born, lived, in the part of “North” Asia. There are no adventures, no danger, no dirt, no life. Oppss too much.

I went to center of Pahang, Triang!! And I can tell you, Triang is the best travel destination in Pahang. There’s less then 200km from Kuala Lumpur. The population is back to 20.000 people during the Chinese New Year.

It’s a KAMPONG. And I was staying over for a night there. Palm trees, durian trees, rubber trees, chickens and my favorite sexy hens, cats and dogs. Nice. The life there is really simple, free environment and far from entertainment. A true humble life. I like the wide open spaces of huge plantations and the nature that abounds in the kampong. Remnants of old Asia still exist in the blood of Malaysia, not constructed like KL’s.

Very remote town but people there are just so gentle, nice and friendly. Very very nice people =) I was immediately struck by the quaint town that seemed to have a natural welcoming atmosphere.

Whenever I go to Chinese restaurants or shops in KL, they would give me dirty disgusted looks when I answer them back in English after they greet me in Mandarin or Cantonese. Are they thought I am trying to kacang lupa kulit type of person? English is only for the ang mohs?! Evil =p Anyway, there’s no such things in Triang. They try to speak English and Malay to me and explain every single little thing with huge smiles. I love that =)

Hann Yeeh brought me everywhere in Triang. Kampong Baru… Bander Baru… Chinese primary school, traditional kampong and few small housing estates visiting show room house… And we went to Triang KTM station. Railway track built by British soldiers or Japanese soldiers after the World War II (?) very special.

And food there is simply nice, unique loh mee not like the one selling in KL, wheat noodles in a dark gravy with strands of cooked egg and lightly soured with black vinegar. No not that one. In Triang served with tomato based sauce, was very delicious see the photo above =) wanna try?

YESSSSS. Nice person has nice family.
I’m super excited. I mean. I’m also super duper nervous like real gong gong. Even I couldn’t finish little tiny 125ml Vitagen. How terrible am I?
I know this sentence doesn’t make sense. I met very nice Hann Yeeh’s family but I, myself out there just went gong gong and nuts. Super pei seh more than ever.
But I really enjoyed looking at everything in Triang. I loved the personal touches, I know I will be back soon =) haha

by the way, I haven’t finish my story of this trip will come up soon soon about great hidden place in Pahang =) most amazing place in the entire world I guess. Yeah one of the places you need to visit before you die!! It’s coming up next =)
